Spring is around the corner and NY City’s special event planners are busy creating the season’s most memorable occasions. Planners know that working with experienced corporate photographer is important to an event’s overall success. There are a number of reasons to have professional photography coverage at your meeting, party or convention.
First, the best professional NYC conference photographer will know what photos to get for social media and deliver them within 24 hours. Second, New York’s best professional photographers are reliable, show up early and bring back-up cameras if they are needed.
And third, working with an experienced journalistic photographer will make you feel confident and assured that your very special event will be well remembered by all.
This photo was taken in NY City at a non-profit event celebrating outstanding scholarship students. The speakers inspired the audience with incredible stories of hard work and dues paid.
There are so so many wonderful non-profits that celebrate their accomplishments and its always a honor for me as a special event photographer in NYC to document these events for publication and social media.
NY City turned out by the thousands for Gay Pride 2016 and to pay homage to the beautiful souls lost in Orlando. A gorgeous day full of festivity, fun, camp and rainbow flags showed the world again what a great place NYC is.
Spring is in the air and marketing and NYC public relations teams are ramping up for this season’s corporate meetings and non-profit galas. Having covered conference, meeting, special events and gala photography in NY City, here are some thoughts on how to help your public relations photographer do a great job.
First, let your photographer know the key photos you’ll need for publication in social media including the VIP staff and guests. Second, share the event’s timeline so the team has a strategy for fitting in any posed shots needed for press. Third, facilitate smooth delivery of rush images in advance by providing contact information and deadlines.
Lastly, just want to clarify that there are two types of digital files used for different purposes. Low-resolution files hold less digital information and hence are used for social media and web use. High-resolution files are like negatives and hence are large files, and used only for physical printing purposes. We usually deliver low-res images via DropBox, and the high-res images on DVD.
Shooting corporate event and party photography got just a little more fun last fall when the human lampshades showed up. These beautiful models graciously posed with the guests and lit up the room with their grace and charm. Just when I thought I had seen it all having shot parties in NY City for so many years, these wonderful ladies made my night!
Rockefeller Center is one of the coolest places in NY City and what a place to have a corporate event! This photo is an overview of a party thrown by a non-profit to raise money for medical research and was attended by over 800 people.
For anyone who’s not been to Rockefeller Center, in the winter this space transforms to an ice skating rink while in the summer its often used for special events. Its one of the largest and coolest venues in the city for large parties like this one.
Also if you’re visiting New York City around Christmas, be sure to stop here and see the beautiful Christmas tree, you’ll never forget how majestic it looks!
Posing with friends in front of the “step and repeat” banner has become a staple of event photography in NY City. Guests love posing with their friends and seeing the shots on social media.
At this party, the client had an assortment of fun props that were used during these portrait photos. My favorite one is shown in this photo, using a large frame with an opening for the guest’s faces.
“Step & Repeat” photos are always a highlight in corporate event or non-profit gala photography, and I love the idea of using props to make it an even more fun experience.
As women around the world climb the corporate ladder, there are many professional organizations hosting educational and networking events. These types of meetings are excellent opportunities to socialize in a professional environment, exchange business cards and share helpful tips.
Business networking is important for all of us, as its a great way to keep abreast of industry trends, make contacts that might be useful down the road, and its always nice to meet new people anyway.
As a corporate business event photographer in NYC, I’m always inspired by the wonderful brilliant women that speak and attend these special events.
Teamwork is so important for businesses to be successful these days. Here’s a corporate event photo I shot at a recent corporate training in NY City. The most effective management teams meet regularly so they have a cohesive marketing plan. As a professional photographer, I believe in teamwork too!
When I have a professional photographer job, whether it be as an event photographer or as a portrait photographer in NYC, I always work closely with clients so I can do the best possible job for them. I ask lots of questions about how I can meet their needs and get the right photos for press and social media. Always, being a team player is the way to go!
