Its said that over 37% of New Yorkers were born in another country, making NY City one of the world’s major melting pots.  Naturally, the top graduates flock to NYC from the best universities in the world, seeking employment and bright beginnings.

Since there are so many international grads in New York, many college and university alumni events are held here.  As a NYC alumni event photographer, we capture photos of old friends mingling, and shoot the speeches and formal presentations.  Our photos are used for the university’s PR, alumni publications and go on the website.

These assignments are always fun and enjoyable to cover, and it makes me sentimental to feel so much good energy in one room!

Spring can’t come fast enough for us New Yorkers, but its not too early for our non-profit clients to be planning their May and June special events. The Big Apple is freezing this winter, but NY City’s corporate party planners are busy planning their spring special events & galas. As an experienced NYC event photographer, its so helpful to receive the timeline, VIP guests & rush press photos list in advance. When we’re all on the same page, not a photo can be missed!

This christmas holiday party was super fun because the theme was “wear your tackiest most fun christmas clothing”… the room was full of good cheer, hot toddies, and lots of christmas tree and santa sweaters.

Wow, New York’s Palace Hotel is just gorgeous! Had a blast shooting this corporate awards dinner, where over 100 international copywriters and art directors came to NYC to receive awards for their creativity in the annual report field.

I love being a bar mitzvah photographer here in NYC, and I love being a photojournalist because there is always such material to photograph at every job I shoot. I love this photo because it shows the bar mitzvah boy surrounded by his grandparents as he reads from the torah, the fact that its natural and un-posed makes it an even nicer picture to me.

When I shoot a corporate event, a family party, a bar mitzvah or a non-profit gala — I cover the story as a photojournalist — by capturing the details, decor, warmth and flow of the event. At my first job as a newspaper photographer at the NJ Morristown Daily Record, I covered who, what, where, why and when in every assignment. This journalistic training shaped me to be the best ny photographer I can!
